Writing a script doesn’t mean you have to write a speech. A simple greeting is fine, like this sample voicemail message:

You can’t just make any voicemail message and think that it’s going to be the right fit, your voicemail messages need to have the following tips below so that it can function as a lead capture when you’re not present.
In sales, immediate communication with your prospects and current customers is important. Being available to answer questions or further negotiate a deal allows your clients to feel secure and more apt to purchase from you. But what if you can’t answer the phone when they call? Make sure you have a voicemail system set up so your clients have the opportunity to leave you a message.

Being personable is key in having your caller look forward to receiving your callback. To do this, use different intonations in your voice to convey enthusiasm.

Please leave us your name and phone number and our team will get back to you as soon as possible. Enjoy [holiday] and thanks for calling [company name]! If you do happen to be open the holiday season, it’s important to provide holiday hours. Especially if your hours vary from your regular hours.

13. “Hello, you’ve reached the [Department name] at [your company]. We can’t take your call right now, but please leave your name, contact information, and the reason for reaching out. One of our team members will be in touch within the day. To ensure we don’t miss you again, you can also let us know the best time to call you back. Rather than waiting for a callback, open up additional channels of communication with your callers by inviting them to email. The most professional voicemail greetings often include an alternative method of communication.
Of course, yours may need more details. But, even if you’re changing your outgoing message every day, it should only be a slight variation from a standard greeting.
