Cox Business has implemented a feature temporarily that allows you to log into your new voice mailbox and listen to saved messages. This feature is available 30 days after migration during which time you can access your voice mailbox. Press “5” from the main menu to access old voice messages. After a user presses “5”, the system will pause for 3-5 seconds and connect you to your previous mailbox. A user can enter the older PIN to listen to the older messages. After 30 days, Cox Business will remove this temporary access feature. Improvements include enhanced performance and reliability, as well as some new features like Readable Voice Mail.
Only one out of every five customers will listen to your voicemail if they don’t recognize your number. With listen rates that low, your response rates are going to be abysmal. If you have a front desk receptionist or another employee making outbound calls, you’re going to have a hard time making that worth your while.

Avoid background noise. Whether you have music playing in your office, or you’re sitting in a coffee shop, background noise can make it difficult for your customers to understand your greeting. Limit the noise around you when you leave your voicemail greeting.

If you are recording a voicemail message for business, be sure you include your name and your company's name, so people know who they are calling and were they are reaching them. If you do not include the business name, they may think they have mistakenly called you at your personal number. You will also want to make sure to give callers the option to speak to someone who is currently available, an operator or other representative, by pressing a certain key (check with IT personnel to see what this might be).

SuperG3 fax machines (high-speed fax or 33.6 kbps fax) must be configured to transmit and receive at 14.4 kbps. In cases where a SuperG3 fax machine communicates with a non-SuperG3 machine, fax calls may complete properly because the lower speed fax machine causes the SuperG3 to throttle down to a lower speed. If the machine speed cannot be configured, it may not function properly on Webex Calling.
There’s a reason this is standard. It starts the conversation off well and pleasantly, and it conveys to the customer that you appreciate them taking the effort to reach out to them. Even though it’s standard courtesy, it still leaves a better impression than a greeting that starts with “You’ve reached our phone line.”
