This is the message that your customers hear when they call during business hours. Greetings often have a short welcome message and list the menu options.
Turn on the Voicemail Service toggle, and choose from any of the settings you want to enable. Send a User's Calls to Voicemail These voicemail settings can be configured for users to direct incoming calls to users' voicemail.
On the Basics page, enter the following information, and then click Next. 4
After you state your name, ask the customer for theirs. It’s a natural transition, and it will lead you seamlessly into “Alright, Gary, what can we do for you today?”
9. AT&T Visual Voicemail. With AT&T Visual Voicemail, you get easier access to voicemails. You get visual voicemails straight from your mobile carrier that increases the accuracy of reading the voicemails and removes the need to call from your mail inbox.
4. Include Other Contact Methods. If there are other ways to get in touch with your business, or receive information about your products, you may want to include them in the after hours greeting.

“Hey there! This is [name] at [XYZ company]. Thank you for calling. I can’t take your call right now but if you leave your name, contact info and reason for calling, I’ll call you back right away. Take care and speak with you soon!”
To set up your voicemail, press #55 or *68 from your home phone or call the retrieval number you received with your welcome letter. Voice prompts will guide you through the rest of the steps.
