People don’t expect you to respond to a text message right away. But they do expect you to respond.
Your clients don’t have a lot of time, and neither do you. Use the following short voicemail greetings to get to the point quickly and invite them to leave a message.
Create recordings as long or as short as you need. Total recording time can vary, but on average, 75 words equals about 30 seconds.
When asked to press a number, pause on the phone/mic icon and click a number under the DIAL PAD tab.
Your company greeting should be created with that in mind. A strong company greeting will start the call off right, starting on a positive note while immediately getting people wherever it is that they need to go in your call navigation system.
Creating a voicemail greeting might not be fun, but with the scripts I’ve shared, you should have an easier time. No need to practice time and time again — simply plug in your name, company title, and other details, then read it out loud to your phone’s voicemail greeting recorder. With a professional greeting, you’ll continue nurturing prospects even if you don’t pick up the phone.
Not every business has (or needs) text messaging services. But most do by now. If you don’t have text messaging, there’s a good chance that your competitors do—and your target audience will notice the difference in convenience if they interact with you both.
Avoid background noise. Whether you have music playing in your office, or you’re sitting in a coffee shop, background noise can make it difficult for your customers to understand your greeting. Limit the noise around you when you leave your voicemail greeting.
