Visual Voicemail lets you see a list of who left you messages and then play or read voicemail in any order. YouMail lets you access your visual voicemail on your phone, tablet, or computer. You can choose what to listen to, which ones to delete or save, and easily call or text people back.

Voicemails are recorded on your network as audio files and are downloaded to your phone. They are then played back in the usual way, just through the phone app rather than through the music app. Any voicemails you have are visible in the Voicemail app and should be able to be played back by pressing the play icon. This doesn’t always work, though. Here are some fixes you might try.
For example, in the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app, select “Settings” from the three-dot menu at the upper right of the screen.
Call Recorder Lite also uses the make a call, merge a second call technique. This free download requires in-app purchases in order to listen to more than the first 60 seconds of your calls, though.

Please note, once Apple Visual Voicemail is activated, you will no longer receive SMS notifications from your standard voicemail notifying you of new voicemails. Instead with Apple Visual Voicemail, you'll see a notification against the phone icon on your iPhone when a message is left.
When I go into the greeting page the page is is not working , touching play / record does nothing. Can’t change anything.

We understand how valuable your time is, and rather than keeping you on hold, we will make sure to call you back.Be sure to leave us a detailed message with your name and number. If you can't set up Visual Voicemail, contact your carrier to make sure that your plan supports the feature.

my iphone 3g 8gb has been acting up lately...i cant receive calls sometimes, like when i try calling myself it rings once and then goes to my voicemail...my iphone doesnt ring and it shows that i have all full bars, but when i take my simcard out and put it back in then i can receive calls again, but then a few hours later it starts all over again
2. Press the Star or Pound Key. Depending on your carrier, you will likely push one of these two keys next. It's more common to push the star key. When you hear your voicemail start, that's when you should press either the star (*) or the pound (#) key. For AT&T, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and T-Mobile, press the star (*) key. Verizon, Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile users should press the pound (#) key. If you are using a different carrier, you can check its website or call customer service to be sure.
