The simplest, lowest-tech option—beyond operating a recorder while you blather over the speakerphone—is a cable: the Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pick-up Microphone for under $20. It doesn't digitally capture from your iPhone. Instead, it has a microphone built into the earpiece. Plug the 3.5mm plug on the other end into a recorder. Hold the iPhone up to your ear to talk normally. The TP-8 captures each side of the conversation from what comes out of the iPhone's ear speaker, while you can still hear the conversation.

I am and have been trying to set up voicemail for my iPhone 11 purchased at the Waycross store. This is not working for me. I got to the screen where I put in my password and where I was to set up a greeting. There were no instructions past that. I recorded a message but never heard a beep or confirmation that my voicemail greeting was complete. I have tried several time in succession to try and play the message but nothing happens. i just have greeting in the top left and when i record it and save it does not offer a voicemail message for a caller when someone calls

Hi Cindi, What a beautiful idea! The easiest way to do this would be to have someone who is good at editing video or audio do this for you on their computer. Maybe a relative or someone from your local high school or college. Once the voice mails are saved as MP3s using the suggestions in the post, it would be easy to edit them using Camtasia or Movavi or any other editing software. If you don’t have anyone around, a Walgreens or Walmart store might be able to do it for you if they edit video. They might have the capability. We had a very old audio file of ours (from reel to reel!) edited and resaved onto a DVD by iMemories.com. They did an amazing job! All the best! Laura
Use call answering rules to determine what happens when a caller reaches your voice mail. For example, if you have automatic replies turned on, then you could set up your rule to transfer the caller to a different number. If you have multiple rules, you can specify the order in which they are applied.
