A dot on the Voicemail icon indicates the number of messages received that have not yet been heard. To listen to your messages, go to the Visual Voicemail, select a message and tap the read/pause button. You can fast forward or rewind the message by sliding the reading head. You can also transfer the sound to speakers and call the number where the message originated.
Hello, you have reached X (service provider). Unfortunately, all our agents are engaged in talking to other customers. You can stay online or to resolve something urgent, try our live chat service. You also have the option of leaving your name, ID and number and our agents will revert to you at the earliest.

When you first set up your Android phone, it may ask you to record your greeting for the caller. You can also keep the default greeting stored on the device. But, in future, if you want to customize the Voicemail greeting or want to create a new one, then you may need to delete the old recordings from Android. It may not be necessary depending on the Android device model & version; it’s good to know the process.
