On the Greeting page there are two options. The standard option is to use the default iPhone voicemail message, but you can also record a custom message. If you already have a custom iPhone voicemail message recorded, tap Play to listen to it now. Otherwise tap Custom.
The reason these hacks work is that it is possible to access your voicemail from another phone by calling the voicemail number for your network and then entering your unique voicemail PIN. For example, If you are with EE you can dial 07953 222222 from any phone and just enter your voicemail PIN to listen to your messages.

When you're in a call, wait for the Add Call button to light up, so you can add a third caller via 3-way calling. Tell the other person to wait, click the button, and call yourself. Stay on the line and listen to your own voice mail greeting, then for the tone that indicates recording has begun. Tap Merge Calls. All three calls are merged—and the third one (your voice mail) is taping the other two.

Even if your tariff includes free voicemail the chances are that it’s not turned on by default. Turning voicemail on or off is generally quite straightforward, as you just need to dial a special number on your phone. With Vodafone you dial 1211 to turn on your voicemail, or 1210 to turn it off, and most other networks work in a similar fashion.

To get the most out of your voice mail it’s important that you properly set up your personal mailbox. Press the voice mail button on your phone and enter your password (0 0 0 0 by default). Press 5 from the mailbox menu. Press 1 to assign your no answer greeting Press 2 to edit the greeting, begin recording when prompted. A typical greeting says “Hi, you’ve reached Mitch Scott. I am currently on the other line or away from my desk. Please leave your name number and a brief message and I will return your call as soon as possible.” press # when finished. Press 1 to set this as your active greeting Press 5 to edit mailbox greetings Press 7 to record your mailbox greeting and follow the prompts to record your mailbox greeting (You can repeat the greeting you used in step 3). Press # when finished. When I record my new voice message I do not have the stop option button and it keeps the existing voice message!! I have an iphone5 and I need to change my voicemail message!! Please help

1 hours agoThe original iPhone promised us visual voicemail in 2007. I was blown away by it. Finally, here was a way to see all voicemail messages in a list (like incoming emails) and be able to tap on them to hear them. Unfortunately, even 10 years after the launch of the iPhone, this feature is still not available on all networks, including Three in the UK.
Go to your phone Settings and open Cellular option. Now tap on the toggle for Cellular Data option. Turning on the Cellular data; Try using your voicemail and see if the problem still exists. Method 3: Setup Your Visual Voicemail. If you are unable to set up your voicemail through phone settings, then you can try setting it up through your carrier.
Note that if your phone rings for any longer than a specified period (15 seconds in default), any re-direction feature that you have activated, such as voicemail or call forwarding, will come into effect.
