This data usage will be taken from your data allowance when the message is received. Once the message is received, it can be listened to without any further data connection & without incurring further cost.

AT&T: If you’re an AT&T customer, you have the option of creating your own basic voicemail. You’ll need to press and hold the 1 key down while you’re on your phone. AT&T will then ask you to set up your greeting via voice prompts.
However, most networks do allow you to adjust the length of time that the phone rings before switching to voicemail by dialing in a long code number. On Vodafone this is **61*121*11* followed by the number of seconds and then the hash symbol (#). So to set your phone to ring for 20 seconds you’d dial **61*121*11*20*.

Resetting the network settings can give your iPhone a “fresh start” and allow it to connect to Bluetooth devices or WiFi networks that may have been problematic. Open the Settings app. Tap General. Enabling Airplane mode will disable cellular, WiFi connections and Bluetooth on your device. Make sure that the Airplane icon is no longer encased in a little orange circle. This means it is enabled and all your connections are disabled.
