I wish that I’d read this a few years ago. I think that we all have a few voicemails that we wish that we could keep forever, but I lost a few a couple years ago. I think that my current system stores them in a digital messaging system, like you mentioned, so they should be able to be saved. Thanks for the post!

You can delete individual voicemails as you listen to them, and most networks will automatically delete old voicemails after 30 days. However, few networks offer a simple way of deleting multiple voicemail messages when your mailbox is full – unless you can use an option such as Visual Voicemail, which lets you delete messages with a quick tap of your finger.
On the iPhone, go into voicemail and tap "Greeting". Record a few seconds of something and tap stop. Before you tap save, use iFuntastic or SFTP to navigate to /var/root/Library/Voicemail on your iPhone. You'll see a file called "Greeting. amr". This is the audio you just recorded. iPhone recorder apps only work because they utilize 3-way conference calls, either incoming or outgoing. The third "caller" is a recording line, provided by a service from the app's developer. Obviously, 3-way calling is a must-have feature of your iPhone for this to work, so be sure your carrier supports it. Set up Visual Voicemail on your iPhone. Looks like no one’s replied in a while. Go to Settings>Phone>Change Voicemail Password. Enter a voicemail password then click done. Re-enter password then tap done again. Now go to your voicemail greeting and you will be able to edit your greeting. More Less.
