To enable Visual Voicemail, you must create a password by accessing your voicemail and then record a greeting as follows: Access the Telephone app, select the Voicemail tab and tap Configure now. Select a password for your voicemail and tap Done. Confirm your password by re-entering it and tap Done. Select Custom if you wish to save a new greeting or Default if you don’t wish to edit your message. Tap Save.

Step 2. Tap “Voicemail”, and then tap “Greeting” in the upper left corner of the screen. If you’re using an eSIM with a second line, select a line first such as Primary, Secondary, 888-888-8888, etc.

Last, make sure you keep this voicemail account up to date, especially if you have some kind of "out of office" message, telling people where you are. Michael Hyatt updates his voicemail message every day-- it may seem excessive, but it lets his callers know that he regularly checks his voicemail, cares about messages he receives, and is likely to get back to them.
The process is very simple. You'll just have to click the green phone icon, the same place you make calls, and navigate to the voicemail screen. On the voicemail screen, you'll see a greetings option on the top left.

When you get a voicemail, you can check your message from the notification on your phone. Swipe down from the top of the screen. Tap Voicemail .
Unfortunately, you cannot currently send individual calls to voicemail on an iPhone without using a non-native app.

I know you probably thought of this, but did you ever record the message someplace else or possibly have it playing while shooting a home video during a birthday or an anniversary? Probably a remote possibility, but you never know. Since you didn’t record over it, there might be a possibility of retrieving it. I really hope so! Please let us know what happens.
For example, in the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app, select “Settings” from the three-dot menu at the upper right of the screen.
