The much safer option is to do this with a third-party voice mail system like Google Voice (but the voicemail recordings are limited to 3 minutes). So it's better to have a paid voicemail service, use the Google Voice recording option for incoming calls outlined above, or spring for the paid recorder services like Recordator.

Closing out of your apps is like turning your iPhone off and back on — it gives your apps a fresh start. If one of the apps that you have open crashes in the background, it may prevent other apps you have open from functioning properly. It can be difficult to identify which specific app or apps are malfunctioning, so we'll close them all to save time. Double-press the Home button to view the apps your currently have open. Use your finger to swipe up on the apps to close them. You'll know all your apps are closed when you only see a preview of your lock screen.

$0 Relevant Answers. I have my GV linked to my iPhone and my direct office phone number. It USED to be that when someone called my GV, it would ring on my computer and both linked Now, about 80% of the time, all 3 ring once (or "less than once") and the caller is immediately sent to voicemail.
The main interface of the recorder is like a control bar. From here, turn on "System Sound" to capture any audio coming out from your device. Next, hit the "REC" button to start recording. You can play the voicemail at this moment.
I called customer support. They were not able to fix it and made it worse. Now it rings once instead of three times. They put in a service request and said it would be 1-3 days. Now they say 3 to 5 business days. I don't understand how something so simple could be such a major problem. I just wanted them to change the number of rings to at least 7. Disconnected the 1st of the junction boxes at top of door. Phone line rings after doing this so proves problem is in the home. I then ran a new wire pair to the NTE5, problem then came back, even with the pull out isolation port or whatever it’s called. Then wired direct to the back plate if that’s the correct term, phone starts ringing again.
