I can't get to the phone before it goes to voicemail. I understand that the number of rings the caller hears is controlled by my carrier, Verizon. My husband has a Samsung Galaxy S7 purchased from Verizon and when he calls, he hears 8 rings then it goes to VM. Note that I called Verizon and they set it to 8 rings, the maximum available.
It drives me mad when I get put through to someone’s voicemail system – only to hear a message telling me that the voicemail-box is full, so I should just bugger off and leave them alone. The number of messages that your voicemail system can store will vary from network to network – Virgin provides a free voicemail option that stores just 10 messages at a time, but you have to pay extra for its VoiceMail Plus service, which stores up to 30 messages.

Follow the instructions and press that number. You will be asked to delete your current Voicemail greeting. Click on the ‘Yes’ button that appears on the screen if you want to remove that. View the voicemail number. Press and hold the 1 on your device’s dial pad to call and connect to your voicemail. Press the star * key to access the main menu. Press 4 to access the mailbox options. Press 7 to change the language of the voicemail prompts to either Spanish or English.
If you never recorded one and want to record or change a voicemail greeting, you've come to the right place. The process is very simple. You'll just have to click the green phone icon, the same place you make calls, and navigate to the voicemail screen. On the voicemail screen, you'll see a greetings option on the top left.
