The basic rule of thumb is that callers should hear one of two things when they first connect with your voicemail — either an apology for not being able to answer the call or a “thank you” for having called. You can do both if you prefer, but keep it short and to the point.
19. Hi, you’ve reached [employee name]’s voicemail box. [Employee first name] no longer works for [company name]. Please call our main line at [phone number] and we’ll be happy to connect you with a current team member who can help.

You may need the password you created when you set up your voice mailbox. You'll only need to enter your password in the Visual Voicemail app once, during the initial setup of the service. To limit unauthorized access to your voicemail, consider locking your phone when you aren't using it.
Use Your Own Voice Mail System. If you are using a phone that does not have visual voice mail, you can send a voice message directly to the voice mailbox of a phone number as long as the number is on the same cell phone network as your phone.. If you are unsure about whether or not you have visual voicemail, there is an easy way to check.
