I have my uncleâs recording of him singing me âHappy Birthdayâ on my phone recorder which Iâve saved since June 2016 which apparently cannot be recorded other than via speaker phone to a recorder that makes a poor quality recording. So I seem to be unable to delete it if I want to hear it again so my message machine fills up continuously. My phone is ATT. Is there any way for me to record it to save his voice to some other media so I can replay it to hear him again?(both he and my dad,his brother passed away). Are there any home phone systems available that either record to a removeable chip, cassette, or whatever which can be saved other than an audio recording to another audio recorder which declines its quality significantly?

Thanks for the explanation. It does indeed sound like thereâs no convenient solution till your whole system gets revamped. To briefly explain *why* I donât want your voicemail enabled: I use my USMobile number as a forwarding line for Google Voice. Google Voiceâs voicemail is frankly superior to yours so I want to use it exclusively. When your voicemail kicks in it interferes with Google Voiceâs operation, causing me frustration and a real mess. Iâll give some thought to whether I want to be bothered with going through a quarterly exercise of calling and re-disabling your voicemail.
I can access my voicemail from my phone just fine. Iâm just cheap and used Hangout/Google Voice to save my minutes.
Access to Visual Voicemail does not negate traditional voicemail access. You can still access it by tapping the 1 key on your phone.
This is it. If you are not satisfied with the custom voicemail greeting, then follow the same steps and do it again.

A digital recorder is nice and all, but if you plug a recorder directly into an iPhone using a 3.5mm audio cable, you're not going to hear the call. Using the iPhone headphone jackâassuming your iPhone is so old that it even has oneâcuts off the speaker. Get the Recap-C, a $99 adapter that plugs into an older iPhone's 3.5mm jack, with output to a headset as well as to a recorder. The secondary recorderâconnected via a 3.5mm male-to-male auxiliary audio cableâis up to you. It could even be another iOS device (or Android or PC, but stick with the digital recorder for simplicity).
6. When you're ready to begin recording, click on "Record." Need inspiration for your message? Here are a few ideas: "Hi. You've reached [Name]. I cannot come to the phone right now.
On the app, click on the "Sound" icon at the lower left part of the tool and select "Microphone." Then, open your voicemail service on your phone and play the voice message. The online audio recorder then clicks the "Record" button on the audio recorder while the voicemail is playing. If you are recording using an external mic, make sure that your phone is on the loudspeaker and pointed at the mic.
