Shared voicemail and call routing is intended for multiple access and directing calls to one or multiple phones. Mobile apps are also available that allow you to check your messages from your phone. The below infographic outlines the current state and trends of voicemails.

Voicemail messages left on your mobile are automatically saved in your Visual Voicemail. If you wish to delete a voicemail message, simply tap the Delete button. The message will be placed in the Deleted Messages folder, but will not be deleted from your voicemail (you can restore these messages later). To permanently delete messages, go to the Deleted Messages folder and select Clear All.
Step 2: It will prompt a phone call to the voicemail service. Follow the prompts and do what the voice tells you too.
Forget about messing around with apps. There’s a powerful voicemail handling system built into nearly every big carrier today — and that system almost always includes a system for recording a voice message and sending it directly without ringing the target phone. I will walk you through the process of doing this on Straight Talk (since that happens to be my carrier) but most carriers will have similar systems.

As I mentioned earlier, one of the common reasons why an iPhone won’t play voicemails is because the Phone app isn’t working properly. Closing and reopening the Phone app allows it to “shut down” and start again, which can sometimes fix a software glitch.
Setting up your voicemail. Press and hold 1. Enter your password if prompted. If you are asked for a password the first time you access your voicemail, just enter the last four digits of your phone number. Follow the directions to set up your password. Record your greeting.

Go to the keypad and press and hold the number 1, or press the Call Voicemail button. This dials voicemail. Check if you have any missed messages
