Most mobile networks allow you to contact your voicemail system from another phone. This can be handy if your battery is flat, or if you don’t want to rack up extra costs when you’re overseas.

To avoid missing important calls in those situations, it is better if you know how to set up voicemail on Android or iPhone so that you can be away from other businesses or engagements without having to worry about missing any important calls.
Step 5. In the greeting section, select whether you want the greeting to be default or custom. Choose custom if you want to record your own voice for a personalized greeting.

The much safer option is to do this with a third-party voice mail system like Google Voice (but the voicemail recordings are limited to 3 minutes). So it's better to have a paid voicemail service, use the Google Voice recording option for incoming calls outlined above, or spring for the paid recorder services like Recordator.
Voicemail messages left on your mobile are automatically saved in your Visual Voicemail. If you wish to delete a voicemail message, simply tap the Delete button. The message will be placed in the Deleted Messages folder, but will not be deleted from your voicemail (you can restore these messages later). To permanently delete messages, go to the Deleted Messages folder and select Clear All.
Your iPhone does have a voicemail password, but you only have to enter it once and many new iPhones set it up automatically. However, there still needs to be some form of authentication between your carrier and your iPhone to download your voicemails. Even though you don’t see it, your voicemail password still exists.

Step 7: If you want to record all the calls you make or receive, select the All numbers option. If you wish to record calls from the numbers that are not saved in your contacts, select the Unsaved numbers option. You can even choose some select numbers manually that you wish to record calls to and from by clicking the Selected numbers option, then tapping Auto record numbers, and then add the numbers that you desire by typing them manually or adding those numbers from your Recents or Contacts lists.
If you don't create call answering rules, incoming callers will be sent directly to your voice mail when you’re not available.
4. Setting Up a T-Mobile Voicemail: Open your iPhone's Phone app. It's the white phone icon on a green background on the Home screen. Tap "Keypad". It's one of the options at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4. You will be shown a list of voicemails you can use. Choose one by tapping the down arrow, and then tap “Set as active.”
