Changes can be made to voicemail settings on the phone through the voicemail options audio menu only after the initial voicemail password has been set up in Account Manager, Work for Desktop, or Virtual Office Online.
Open the Phone app (the green icon at the bottom of your home screen), then go to the Voicemail tab. Go to Set Up Now. Create your voicemail password and tap Done when complete. Enter your password again and tap Done to confirm. To select a greeting, choose Default or create your own by selecting Custom, then tap Done when complete.

You can skip the greeting by pressing the * key. When you’re prompted, enter your password. And finally, just follow the menu prompts to check your messages.
