The bottom line is that a business’s situation is likely to change often and rapidly, each of which need a unique and applicable voicemail greeting to cover the circumstances and timeline. For example, callers shouldn’t reach a business-as-usual voicemail, and therefore expect a return call within the business day, if the subject they’re calling is out on vacation for two weeks. Such a lack of communication is a recipe to lose that caller’s trust and tarnish the brand’s reputation.
Set up Visual Voicemail. If your carrier supports Visual Voicemail, you can set it up with these steps: Go to the Phone app, then tap the Voicemail tab. Tap Set Up Now. Voicemails are recorded on your network as audio files and are downloaded to your phone. They are then played back in the usual way, just through the phone app rather than through the music app. Any voicemails you have are visible in the Voicemail app and should be able to be played back by pressing the play icon. Several users are getting the “com.apple.mobilephone error 1035” error on their visual voicemail whenever they try updating or setting up their visual voicemail greetings. Visual voicemail lets you view your voicemail message that you receive. Voicemail greeting is the message that callers will hear before they are offered the opportunity to leave you a message. However, this error will prevent users from setting up their greetings. The full error message will be “The operation couldn’t be completed (com.apple.mobilephone error 1035)“.
If you recently restored or updated your iPhone, your network setting may have been affected and may be causing “iPhone voicemail error try again later.” Please reset your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings Enter your password. Press Reset network setting in red font. The phone will automatically reset it. After it restarts, your phone then tries voicemail again.
You may be prompted to input a password if you have any security functions in place. Input your password to continue. If you are still prompted for a password input even if you do not have any security measures in place, all you have to do is type in the last four digits of your phone number.
View the list of your received messages and select those you wish to listen to or delete through iPhone Visual Voicemail.
One issue I have seen first hand is when an iPhone receives the voicemail notification, but not the voicemail itself. In an ideal world, the iPhone would tell you that the file isn’t available, but it doesn’t seem to do that in the world we live in.
