6. Take note of the green number that appears below the phrase “Voicemail number.”
Voicemail is necessary when no one can answer the phone. However, a dedicated receptionist can reduce the need for this feature and help people reach a live person. Consider live chat as well if your customers like to reach out online.
Apple makes it easy to save and share voicemails. This is excellent for business or scholastic use. Share important messages with coworkers or classmates, or upload them to a computer anyone can access. Just be careful you’re sharing only what you want to.

Regardless of your occupation, try to keep the message short. It shouldn’t be longer than 25 seconds. If the voicemail is personal, feel free to leave a silly, short message that lets the caller know it’s you.
