If you have an assistant, include their name and contact information in your greeting. If you have a hard time delegating tasks, this is an excellent way to start building it into your processes.
“Hi, this is [name]. I’m either on another call or am away from my desk. Please leave your name, contact details, number and your reason for reaching out and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for calling.”
Sign in to your account. In the Manage Features section, select Call forwarding and voicemail. Select the button to enable call forwarding and then select how many seconds to forward calls after. Select Voicemail, then select Confirm . If you buy an unlimited subscription or a Skype Number, voice messaging is activated automatically.

While covering all of the relevant information, aim to keep your voicemail to about 20 seconds. You definitely should not ever record a business voicemail longer than 30 seconds, and anything less than 10 seconds will typically mean that you are either speaking too quickly or aren’t providing all of the required information.

Instead of you making your clients and customers sit through an Interactive Voice Response (IVR menu) so they may be directed to the person they would like to talk to, try to make fewer hurdles and steps for your customers.

Make sure you keep your promises too. If you want to specify a time (which you should) ensure you get back to the customer within the timeframe.
