If you can't set up Visual Voicemail, contact your carrier to make sure that your plan supports the feature.
17. "Hello! You've gotten the voicemail of [your name]. Leave your name, contact info, and the answer to the eternal question ‘Which came first, the chicken or the egg?' Anyone who gets it right will receive a call back."
.
Why would you remove support for this? I'm completely amazed. I thought my old custom greeting got lost during an update but not to have a BASIC feature that has been available since Skype's inception is just foolish. I now can't change my message if I'm on vacation or travelling on business or anything. This is a major step backwards in terms of functionality. I'm pretty sure Microsoft is trying to let Google take over the world. In reply to JamesWEwing's post on March 13, 2018
Finally, and most annoyingly, getting set up with On Voicefeed was pretty tedious. You have to enter basic information, just like almost any other app, which is fine. But then you’re asked to enter a security code that is sent to you by text. At this point, I’m thinking, “Alright, but this better be it.” Then, the app asked me to call a number that was automatically added to my contacts in order to activate the account. Fortunately, that was the end of it, but I was still a little peeved at how long it took to get started. I’m sure that some of those steps are necessary to tap into your voicemail, but finding a way to streamline the process would be much appreciated.
16. “Hi, you’ve reached [company name]. Sorry, you just missed us! We’re open from ([hour] to [hour] [time zone]) Monday through Friday [optional: hour to hour on the weekends]. In the meantime, you can also visit our website [website URL] to reach out via live chat, text, or email [email address]. If you’d like to leave us a message, tell us your name, number, and reason for your call after the beep. We will give you a call back later on today.” Let your caller know your exact office hours so you skip the “phone tag”. They’ll appreciate knowing when to expect a return call. Just keep in mind that the timeframe should be realistic so you live up to customer expectations.Voicemail greetings for holidays
