If you don’t make any changes the default iPhone voicemail message is pretty bland and not very professional. It is a good idea to change the iPhone voicemail message to something more professional or at least something that lets callers know they reached the right person.
Customer experience is today’s business battleground. At a time where it’s common for even the most established businesses to deliver poor service, incompetent support, and just outright bad communication, how do you stand out? As big companies fail in the customer experience department, doors open for small business owners and entrepreneurs to distinguish themselves.
We recomend this solution to business that need a phone system, or need to replace an aging analog phone system. This is a fully custom service; therefore, we can build it from the ground up or retro-fit the system to your existing infrastructure. Please call for pricing and consultation.
Don' let background noise do the talking for you. Ambient noise on your recording could be sending the wrong message to your clients. The sound of your kids arguing in the distance could be the sign of a distracting work environment. Clinking glasses and restaurant chatter may leave the impression that you don't take your work seriously. When you record your voicemail greeting choose a quiet spot free from interruption, so your message is the only thing callers hear. It's also good to avoid large, cavernous spaces where sound verberates.
You can change your voicemail settings from the Skype for Business Settings page. You can get to the page by using one of the following methods:

Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists service can answer all your calls, 24/7. We recommend 24/7 answering, as a real person on the line can help you capture and convert more leads and build trust with your existing clients. But if you have decided to limit our services to certain hours, you can upload a custom voicemail message in our system for "after-hours" callers. Here's how:

If the you haven't changed your personal greeting, a default system greeting will be played for callers. For example, "Please leave a message for John Smith. After the tone, please record your message. When you finish recording hang-up or press the pound key for more options."
To send to an email address with the message attached, check the box next to Attach new voicemail messages and send via email.
At present, you have to record your greeting by recording directly into the iPhone microphone -- the results of which are average, of course.
Microsoft continues to ride roughshod over people who have been users - at not inconsiderable expense - for YEARS. Skype itself is NOT free to use (even leaving aside my paid phone number) because it wastes hours and causes anxiety and frustration, each of which has a cost. Skype was never perfect but it had some degree of honesty before it was swallowed up by Microsoft.
Out of town? Your callers should know. Let them know with the following vacation voicemail greetings.
Why would you remove support for this? I'm completely amazed. I thought my old custom greeting got lost during an update but not to have a BASIC feature that has been available since Skype's inception is just foolish. I now can't change my message if I'm on vacation or travelling on business or anything. This is a major step backwards in terms of functionality. I'm pretty sure Microsoft is trying to let Google take over the world. In reply to JamesWEwing's post on March 13, 2018
