Hey, not here right now and not really interested in who this is, I’m out on a wilderness retreat learning about the importance of making connections.

Morgan Freeman is known for his voice so much that he was asked to play the voice and image of God in Bruce Almighty. Morgan’s voice has been immortalized in dozens upon dozens of voiceover projects. Allow him to greet your callers and prompt them to leave a message for you.
Your voicemail doesn’t have to be monotonous or impersonal. What you need is something that is unique to you but works in a professional manner. Professional voicemails are important, because they’re an extension of your personal brand, reflecting what level of professionalism you offer. Use these voicemail greetings for work or personal cell phone messages […]
4. Listen to the options. On most voicemail systems, tap "2" to start the process to record a new greeting.
Step 2. Press and hold “1” key on your keypad. You will get a message that you have no voicemail number stored on the card.
Yes, though if there's no preexisting greeting the GUI won't detect it if placed in the filesystem. I suspect a database entry is needed for the GUI to "see" the greeting. As a workaround a greeting could be recorded (so that the database entry is present) and the file replaced, but that's getting to be quite a task end-to-end. Also I don't know if the database stores the length of the recordings, which could be problematic during playback if the original and replacement audio files are different lengths. I will do some testing. Thanks. Aug 16, 2018 #4
First you need to know how much time your phone system or provider allows for the duration of the greeting. Some are 30 sec some are longer. Then you need to have a few ideas of what you want to say, or ask your callers.
Rehearse your greeting a few times before you press record. Plan your pauses and select natural places to take a breath. If you are recording directly into your phone don't hold it to your ear like you are talking on the phone. This can produce a muffled tone. Hold the phone out in front of you a few inches from your mouth for the clearest recording. This may require some trial and error. So playback your greeting and make necessary adjustments on your re-record.
Hi! John’s answering machine is broken. This is his refrigerator. Please speak very slowly, and I’ll stick your message to myself with one of these magnets.
With notifications, you're alerted when you miss a call or receive a voice mail message. You can decide how and when you want to be alerted. For example, you can receive an email when you miss a call or get a text message when someone leaves a voice mail. By default, you'll receive an email anytime you miss a call, but text messaging notifications are turned off.
10. Introduce Yourself Like a Hollywood Blockbuster. If you want to make a custom, Hollywood’esque gesture in your next outgoing message, may we suggest having a booming voice introduce you.

What is Custom Voicemail Greetings? We know the standard voicemail greeting that comes with your phone tends to be more of a nuisance to your callers than a tool to help you develop stronger communications. Often times, most callers will hang up as soon as their call goes to voicemail instead of actually leaving you a message.
