When you receive a voicemail, a notification will alert you on Skype for Business apps, desktop phone, and email app. If the caller hangs-up before leaving a message, you will receive a Missed-Call Notification email with the caller information (if it was not blocked). Depending on the users settings for Call Answering Rules Callers can hear a greeting, record a message (up to 5 minutes), and/or choose to be transferred to the target defined by the user. Record your name to let callers know that they have reached the correct mailbox. To record your name: Connect to your mailbox. The system responds with the status of any messages in your mailbox and prompts you with the Main Menu selections. Press 4, Setup Options. Press 3, Change Preferences. Press 1, Change Recorded Name. Record your name at the tone. Press # after recording your name. The system plays back the recording. To save the recording, press *. Record your personal greeting (standard greeting)

If you’re going to start with a common statement such as ‘Your call is important to us’ and the other statements you have heard, your prospects are going to walk away.
Extension mailboxes enable businesses to share a group of mailboxes, but route incoming calls to one main voicemail number. They include a primary mailbox and up to nine (9) additional boxes. Each has characteristics of standard voice mailboxes and must be activated by an authorized user before they can be used. Once activated, log in to the mailbox, change the PIN, record your greeting and your name.
Allows you to specify the name that will appear for your number when you make an outbound call. The person you are calling must have a Caller ID compatible telephone or display device.

Make sure your voicemail lets people know what other methods of contact they can use to reach. It is always an ideal time to discuss the favored contact method. Let them know if the voicemail is not harder to answer. You can also erase any of your existing recordings associated with your voicemail box. To delete your name recording, unavailable greeting, or temporary greeting: Dial *98 on your OnSIP-registered phone. Enter your voicemail box number. Enter the PIN/password for your voicemail box. Press 0 for voicemail box options. Press 1 for unavailable greeting, 2 for your name, or 3 for temporary greeting. Press 2 to delete the existing recording on file.
