77% of people believe that a phone call is the most efficient way to get business done. But have you got the right call handling protocols in place?
Other surveys show different numbers. Speech technology vendor Nuance Communications recently conducted a survey with Research Now and discovered that 95 percent of those polled find text messaging more convenient than voicemail.

If they were less interested, they would probably send you an email or fill out a form on your website.

If you are the sole employee of your business and your business communication generally makes that clear, it is fine to refer to yourself in the first person.

People have short attention spans these days, and you should always craft your communications for the lowest common denominator with something as universal as your voicemail.
Business Intro – quick intro announcement heard by the caller before they speak with a business representative. Usually quite short and welcoming, introducing the business to the caller.
Avoid any confusing nicknames – Introducing yourself by the name you are most commonly known as and give your full name if the callers aren't likely to know you personally.
Translation: If you sound unsure, then your current clients, prospects, and partners won’t be so sure about you either.
