Professional business voicemail greetings are significantly different from ones you record for individual use and complete your professional business image. They’re more generic in nature and designed to provide information to the caller while ensuring they leave a message. Where possible, explain when you expect to return calls. Typically, they’re recorded for the following:
Provide an emergency phone number. If you are going to be unavailable for a long period of time, let your callers know who they can contact for immediate assistance.

Most voice mail users have a desk phone line, which rolls calls to a voice mailbox. Customers with virtual telephone numbers (TNs) do not have a physical desk phone for this number. If you use voice mail with a Cox virtual TN, refer to the tips listed below. If you have a virtual TN, the related voice mailbox should be pre-set by Cox voice mail teams. If you cannot access the box from a valid access number, contact a Cox representative to make sure that the mailbox is initialized. You might be surprised at how many people record a well-worded voicemail greeting without ensuring those carefully chosen words are spoken clearly.
1. "Hi, you've reached [your name] at [your company]. I'm unavailable right now — probably helping [type of company] get [X results, e.g. ‘double their leads in 60 days,' ‘hire the best and brightest engineers,' ‘convert 40% more customers.'] Leave your name and number, and we'll discuss how your company can see similar results."

If you've really got six other numbers to list it's easier to just mention a website that people can go to, because I'm not going to be able to write them all down in one go anyway. Expanding on the simple approach above, let the caller know who they've reached. This will not only eliminate people leaving voicemails by mistake, but it will reassure the caller that they have called the number they intended.
