By sending each voicemail as an email or SMS to your inbox, you no longer need to save them in a separate storage service. Most voicemail services have a limit on how many messages can be recorded before the box is full. Once that happens, you need to go in and delete messages in order to make room for new ones.
Before you even begin to draft and implement business voicemail greetings, your pain points need to be identified. If you've still got a legacy voice system, meaning an on-site PBX with analog phones, then your only real COVID response will be call forwarding to your employees' home phones. That may or may not be acceptable to your employees, especially since these days many of them won't have an analog phone available, which means you'll need to do your forwarding to a personally-owned mobile phone.
Under Voicemail, turn on the type of forwarding that you want: Get voicemail via message – Tap, and then next to your linked number, tick the box. Get voicemail via email – Turn on to send voicemail transcripts to your email.
