I could see an argument for relaxing that for mobile voicemail, on the basis that mobile phones are pretty personal and not generally shared by multiple people, but I've no idea whether that may have happened. Or, indeed, whether such policies may vary between organisations within the NHS.

3. Push the asterisk (*) or pound (#) key and then press the call button to call your voicemail. In some cases, you might not need to press the call button but you usually will have to listen to an automated greeting before you can hear your voicemail. Check to make sure that the asterisk or the pound keys are the correct buttons to press. Which key to press and when to push can depend on your cell phone provider. For most cell phone companies, it's often one of these buttons. Try both, and if neither of them work than visit the website of your phone company or call customer service.
You may think your voicemail message is professional. But when you listen back it could sound rushed or shaky. Listen to it regularly to see if changes are needed.
If I’m your best friend, that’s not a problem. But otherwise, I have no idea if I’m leaving a message for the right person or not. Was that his voice? I couldn’t tell. It kinda sounded like Micheal Cera. Did I accidentally just call Michael Cera’s phone? “Hey if this is Alex, it’s Bryan Allain…call me back. And if this is Michael Cera, loved you in Year One. You may also call me back.”
Of course, yours may need more details. But, even if you’re changing your outgoing message every day, it should only be a slight variation from a standard greeting.

My consultants sometimes do. The information tends to be "please call us back", but on the other hand said callback request tends to include a direct line that's not trivially publicly findable, so.

You have reached (Your Name) at (Your Business). I was unable to take your call, but if you leave a brief message I’ll call you back as soon as possible.
It’s no wonder so many voice mail messages get deleted and never called back! If ever there was a situation that begged to be scripted, it’s your voicemail message. Isn’t this the time you want to sound your best, be perceived as a professional, and prepare the most polished message you can? Of course it is.
