So it’s important that your business has the perfect voicemail greeting to entice potential customers into leaving a message. 17. Hi, this is [your name] at [X Business Name]. Our office is currently closed, but I’ll be back in the office at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Feel free to leave a message or send me an email at [email address], and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
“Hey, there! This is [your name]. Please leave me a message with your name, number, and the reason you’re calling. If you also tell me [insert random fact] I’ll be sure to move you to the top of my call list. Have a great day!”
What happens here is when you apologize and sound genuine in your tone, your prospects would understand and leave their contact details for you to follow with them.
“Hey, there! This is [your name]. Please leave me a message with your name, number, and the reason you’re calling. If you also tell me [insert random fact] I’ll be sure to move you to the top of my call list. Have a great day!”
Once again, by using these scripted, proven messages you’ll be giving yourself the best chance to hear back from your prospects and clients. And remember, even if their answer is no, that’s a lot better than chasing unqualified prospects who are never going to buy. Mike Brooks
For churches, having easy and responsive phone systems that respond to the needs of visitors, members and volunteers set the stage for a positive experience that reinforces the commitment to the church mission.
Timing is everything. The moment you receive the lead alert is the best time to make the follow-up call. If you call them days later, your chances of getting them on the phone are greatly diminished. By calling them right away, you’ll talk to more leads which will inevitably boosts sales. Role-play your voicemail scripts so you sound like you’re making your 20th call, not your 1st. Ask your friends and colleagues for honest feedback on your voicemail scripts. Continually review what’s working and what isn’t -- there’s always room for improvement. If you have the lead’s email address, follow up with an email, and let them know in the voicemail you’re going to do so. If you don’t have an email, let them know you’ll follow up with a text.
And best of all-- you can usually set it to forward the call to your cell phone when you are away from the office, thus preventing the need to ever give out your personal cellphone number.

Your voicemail is set up with a default greeting, but you can record a personal greeting any time you want.
