We put a lot of effort into trying to get people not to leave messages on the old house phone (long story, there was some reason I forget why we couldn't turn the voicemail off). Messages with words in don't work. Even if you make them 10 minutes long and full of "Please do not leave voicemail here, we won't hear it" repeatedly, people will sit through it and then leave a message. We eventually settled on something that sounded like a very noisy modem, which mostly worked. I have no idea whether people would recognise modem noises these days though, especially if this is for a mobile number...

Mine says "Please don't leave a voicemail because I probably won't be able to understand it. Email or text me instead." It seems to mostly work, in concert with telling people that my handset can't do voice calls (which is true).

Your voicemail doesn’t have to be monotonous or impersonal. What you need is something that is unique to you but works in a professional manner.

4. Call your Comcast, XFINITY, or cable phone voicemail by dialing *99. Keep in mind that this only works if you are calling from your home phone. You will then enter your password and have access to your voicemail. Some modern phones allow you to just click the voicemail button on your machine and then enter your password. If calling from a phone not associated with your voicemail, dial your home phone number first and then hit the pound (#) key when the automated greeting starts. Enter your password at the prompt and you should be allowed access to your voicemail.

2. Personal Voicemail Greetings. Customer Support Representative Voicemail Greeting. Hello, you've reached [name] at [X company]. If you need help with [X reason] please contact [X person/X system] or [visit our website and send us an email].
Weren’t these messages funny and wacky for your machine. Of course, you have to be a bit careful as to what you say and record on your machine.
