Professional business voicemail greetings are significantly different from ones you record for individual use and complete your professional business image. They’re more generic in nature and designed to provide information to the caller while ensuring they leave a message. Where possible, explain when you expect to return calls. Rollover Hunting is a feature that is managed by the Account Manager or Phone Manager. It allows incoming calls to your primary phone line to roll over to the next available line and, if al l lines are busy or not answered, the call can roll over to voicemail. It will hunt through all lines in the group once to find an idle line. You can configure multiple hunt groups and the number of rings before the call is routed to the next li ne. Each hunt group must have a minimum of two lines and a unique primary number. There are three hunt sequence options:

If your business is off for a holiday, it's a common courtesy to update your voicemail to acknowledge the closure. Mention the closure in the beginning of the message, convey when your business is reopening, and don't forget to wish the callers a happy holiday if the occasion calls for it. If you're away from your office, check your voicemail remotely to keep up with incoming messages if necessary. Or get voicemail to email capabilities set up on your phone system.
